Neighborhood Watch Committee Meeting August 10

Meeting Location: South Riding Town Hall, Center St.

Present: Ram Kuppuswami, Ken Smith, Jeff Smith, Cameron Smith, John Maier, Shawn Huycke, Bill McMullan, Jerry Barton and Steve Schoenly

Also attending: Martin Graves, Nicole Pilkus and Lori Molnar

1. Call to Order 7:05 pm by Chair, Ram Kuppuswami.

2. No electronic recording of the meeting

3. Resident comments – Steve Schoenly raised a concern from his neighbor about police cars parked near Eustis St.

4.  LCSO Report for last 30 days reviewed

5.  Approval of July 2009 Minutes, motion entered by Jerry Barton, seconded by Bill McMullan.

6.  Committee Membership Update – Bill and Jerry are now eligible to be appointed as Committee members and Ram will send the request to BOD about the same.

7.  Membership

• a.Current Voting Members: 8+2
• b.Current Number of Patrollers: Last noted from Patroller Schedule are 32 members.

8.  Patroller issues

• a.Discussed some neighborhood areas of concern.
• b.Ram will send Jessica at LCSO to inquire about paid Child id events to be scheduled at Town Hall for Fall yard sale.

9.  Budget – Ram and Ken will review expenses so far by the committee and review funds.

10. South Riding Magazine Update - NNO thank you article will be in September magazine.
