Special Events 2010
There are many ways to get actively involved with South Riding Events. Listed below are the dates and descriptions of the 2010 events and ideas of how you can become a successful partner with us throughout the year. You will be positively associated with the event in the South Riding Magazine as well as on our website several months prior to and included in a grateful recap following the event giving you full press and the recognition you deserve.
Please let us know which event(s) you are interested in by filling out our Event Participation Request . We will be happy to work with you to help customize and optimize the scope of your sponsorship to help you better align with your target market. Our success in our events is strongly based on our win win win philosophy and look forward to a perfect ’10.

 SPRING EGG HUNT
April 3rd
14,000 plastic eggs are filled with candy and toys for two separate “egg hunts” for the children. The Easter Bunnies sit and visit with the families for photos.
- Advertised in SR Magazine
- Advertised on website
- Approximately 1,200 in attendance.
- Sponsorship $500 - $3,000
April 17th
Consumer fraud and identity theft are becoming an epidemic in our communities. In this light, we will be conducting our third community shred for our residents to dispose of confidential documents properly. This is a very unique opportunity for financial, insurance or security companies to partner with the community in this effort.
Featured in the March and April magazines, website, event banners email blast.
- Exclusivity (one sponsor) - $3,000 for maximum exposure
- Equal/Shared (2 sponsors) -$1500
- Equal/Shared (3 sponsors) - $1000
- Equal/Shared (6 sponsors) - $500 (maximum 6 sponsors)
- Multi-tiered sponsorship - $500 increments
May 1st
Our Spring Expo is a tremendous community gathering for one stop shopping on the Town Green. Yard Sale, Business Expo, Community information, athletic sign ups.
- Advertised outside of South Riding in most local papers and in the SR publication and website.
- Approximately 3,000 in attendance.
- $100 for each 10’x10’ bare space located on the Town Green
- $100 for each tent rental if needed
June 4th and 5th
THE Community Celebration of the summer! Two days filled with rides, music, food, entertainment, shows, fireworks and more.
- Sponsor the stage, the children’s area, the Arcade, Beer Garden, create a entirely new venue and/or exhibit on Saturday.
- Advertised throughout SR: signs, posters, banners, website and SR publication, mass email blasts.
- Sponsorship levels $1,000 - $15,000
- Approximately 10,000 in attendance.
END OF SCHOOL CELEBRATIONS
June 18th
School’s out and the pools are open. Three celebrations occur simultaneously at different pools.
- Sponsor in part or the entire event, $500 - $5,000
SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
June—August
Concerts are held every Friday night on the Town Green. Residents picnic and dance the night away under the stars.
- Sponsor one concert or the entire summer.
- Sponsorships range from $1500 - $15,000
- Advertised for five months via magazine, website, and e-mail blasts.
 A STAR SPANGLED SOUTH RIDING
July 3rd
The festivities saluting America starts with a hometown parade led by a Dixie Band, followed by a Concert, ending with fantastic fireworks. Held at the SR Golf Club.
- VIP seating in clubhouse possible.
- Approximately 5,000 in attendance.
- Advertised for 3 months and a 4th month recap and thank you, website and email blast.
- Audience goes well beyond South Riding (Dulles South & Fairfax)

OKTOBERFEST
October 2nd
Our town green transforms into a German Biergarten for our many residents.
- Bavarian dancers, food, wine and beer are all on hand.
- Naming rights to our highly anticipated games is $2000
- Prizes for game winners (price varies)
- Approximately 3,000 in attendance.
 HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR
October 31st
The parade starts at the former Sales center and ends up on the Town Green.
- Sponsor the magic show, or petting zoo for $1000
- Set up a tent with crafts and goodies for the children while promoting yourself.
- No fee other than crafts and treats
- Approx 2,000 in attendance
VOLUNTEER/VIP APPRECIATION RECEPTION
November 5th
- Sponsorships available to help properly thank all those who go the extra mile in making South Riding what it is today.
- SR Magazine preview and recap as well as Website.
- 200+ in attendance
 HOLIDAY WEEK OF ACTIVITIES
Winterfest— December 5th - 19th
The community gathers together to celebrate the holidays and winter season with food, entertainment, characters, and hundreds of school age children.
- Sponsor the Grand Prize for the house decoration contest.
- Thank you will appear in 3 separate issues of the SR Magazine
- Participation and Thank You will be included on the SR Website
