Pool Closures : No Emergency Phone Access

Jun 30, 2012 - Jul 01, 2012

Residents, we appreciate your patience as we are still without emergency phone access at all of South Riding’s Pools. This is a Loudoun County regulation that is a requirement for opening and to pass health inspection. All Loudoun County Pool regulations can be viewed at http://www.loudoun.gov/index.aspx?NID=1447 under, Swimming Pool Regulations.  Please know we are all working diligently to make sure our pools are clean and ready to open when we are able to dial and connect to 911. The pool phones are able to receive calls but cannot call out to local phones or the 911 operator. Please know that this is not just an issue here in South Riding, as numerous pools within Loudoun and Fairfax County are closed today with the same issue. SRP staff has spoken to the non-emergency fire and rescue and they stated this was an issue within our area. Please don’t hesitate to contact them if you have an emergency and are not able to dial 911.

Staff will continue to monitor and test the pool phones and contact Verizon when available. Thank for your cooperation and understanding.
