Budget & Finance August 21st Meeting

Budget & Finance Committee

1. Meeting was called to order by Chair at 7:35 p.m.  Prior to the start of the official Budget and Finance Committee meeting, the Committee reviewed the annual budget and gave comments for it to be included in the presentation to the Board.

2. Committee Attendees: Ty Kehrer (Chair), Wes Elliott (Vice-Chair), Dale Urbanek, Nimish Sanghavi and Ken Walsh.

Non-Committee Attendees: Wendy Taylor (General Manager), Scott Fisher (SRP Treasurer), Jamie Brodnax (Armstrong Management), Jeff Salmon (Board of Directors) and  Schalyn Sohn (SR Resident).

3. Public Comment / Issues:  None

4. No one electronically recorded the meeting.

5. The Committee reviewed the revised minutes from the June 19, 2013 meeting. 
a. Ken Walsh made the motion that, “The Budget and Finance Committee accept the June 19th, 2013 minutes as presented.”  The motion was seconded by Dale Urbanek. 
b. The motion passed with Ty Kehrer and Nimish Sanghavi abstaining.

6. The Committee reviewed the minutes from the July 17, 2013 meeting.
a. Wes Elliott made the motion that, “The Budget and Finance Committee accept the July 17th, 2013 minutes as presented.”  The motion was seconded by Ken Walsh.
b. The motion passed with Nimish Sanghavi abstaining.

7. The Committee reviewed the financial statements for July 2013.
a. Wes Elliott made the motion that, “The Budget and Finance Committee accept the July 2013 Financial Statements as presented”.  The motion was seconded by Ken Walsh.
b. The motion passed “Unanimously”.

8. The Committee reviewed the proposals for the magazine printing.
a. Based on the recommendation of the staff Dale Urbanek made the motion that, “The Budget and Finance Committee recommends the continued use of Printing Images to print the South Riding Magazine.”  The motion was seconded by Ken Walsh. 
b. The motion passed “Unanimously”.

9. The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.

10. The next meeting of the Budget and Finance Committee is Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall.
