Reviewed the New Town Green Stage
Concerns discussed: the size, height and material of the stage, was there sufficient electricity to the stage, was the size of the stage appropriate, possible screening of the backside of stage from Town Center Condominiums.

The majority of the working group was in favor of the stage with the contemporary style curved roof.

Reviewed the Bike Trail Concept:
Concerns discussed: Proximity to homes, potential flooding, parking, policing the area and potential for illegal teen activity.

Committee was advised that staff has been directed to apply for a plan on the full scope on the site but not commit to installation of all amenities. Julie Able asked about the possibility of a smaller track design.

The majority of the working group wanted more communication with residents and to have the community involved with the process. The working group requested that the trail be marked so that the residents could see the design and walk the trail. The working group asked that the architectural drawings be brought back to the Open Space working group and provided to the community to review. Staff advised an open meeting will be publicized to review the final “master plan.”

Reviewed the desire for additional Fishing Pier/Dock:
Concerns discussed: The pond was too small for a large pier/dock

The majority of the working group agreed on installation of a small dock at Priesters Pond. Take information back to the Recreation and Grounds

Meeting Adjourned 7:50 p.m.
