PICKLEBALL

Pickleball Court now at Elk Lick Park!

You asked and we listened! With the growing popularity of Pickleball, South Riding residents have been requesting pickleball courts in their community. With the efforts of the Recreation and Grounds Committee and staff we responded and are excited to announce the opening of two brand new pickleball courts at Elk Lick Park.

The courts have been designed using the Sport Court SPORTGAME PICKLEBALL modular flooring system. This product came highly recommended due to its proven shock absorbing nature reducing player fatigue and the risk of injuries such as joint stress. This product was developed to optimize ball bounce and response. Additional benefits are the durability and the low maintenance of the tiles.

The Elk Lick Park surrounding area is still a work in progress. Still to come with Phase II includes lighting, shaded seating, walking path, landscaping, and permanent signage.

The pickleball courts are available for use by residents and their invited guests and is open from dawn to dusk. Your tennis court key will gain you access to the pickleball courts, if you need to purchase a key click the link below.
