Halloween Spooktacular
Get your costumes ready and join us for one of South Riding’s favorite fall traditions—the Halloween Spooktacular! This festive celebration is packed with Halloween fun for ghosts, goblins, superheroes, princesses, and everyone in between.
Bring the whole family to South Riding Center for an afternoon filled with festive music, exciting games, delicious food trucks, and plenty of Halloween fun. Kids can enjoy a variety of activities, collect a Halloween goodie bag (while supplies last), and visit our adorable petting zoo.
One of the event’s biggest highlights is our Halloween Costume Parade around South Riding Center. Everyone is invited to march in the parade and show off their creative costumes!
Want to compete? Families and individuals are encouraged to register for the Costume Contest for a chance to win a commemorative trophy.
We’ll be recognizing outstanding costumes in several fun categories, including:
Best Overall Costume
Most Creative Costume
Best Group Costume
Cutest Costume (ages 5 and under)
Best float (aka, wagon, bike, or stroller.)
Registration is free and only required if you would like to be judged for the costume contest. If you’d rather simply enjoy the parade, no registration is necessary—just come dressed in your favorite costume and join the fun! Please arrive by 1:30pm. The parade kicks off at 2pm.
