Jingle Dash
Run, Run Rudolph!
Get in the spirit this holiday season and hit the pavement to celebrate the season! Wear a holiday themed costume or running gear, tie jingle bells to your shoelaces and hoof it through a 5K or 10K route. Runners will charge, trot, walk, run and jingle through the streets and trails of South Riding. Kids (or kids at heart) can join the fun, too, by participating in the approximately ¾ mile fun run!
Jingle Bell Dash Participants Information:
Packet and timing chip pick-up begin at 7am, the Fun Run starts at 8am and the 5K/10K by 8:15am. Please be in line to pick up your packet by 7:55am. Packet pickup and the race take place at South Riding Center (42420 Unicorn Dr, South Riding, VA 20152).
The course will be marked with signs to keep you heading in the right direction. Please keep in mind that this is an open course (the roads are NOT closed to traffic) so be aware of cars that may be exiting their driveways.
- Kids Fun Run(click to see course): The run course is close to one mile. There will be volunteers helping your kiddo make their way along the course. The run is street/sidewalk running only; no portion will be trail running.
- 5k/10k Run(click to see course): The run course is a 5k course, 10K runners will run the 5K course twice. There will be directional signs helping you make your way along the course. The run is a combination of street and trail running. Note when you enter onto the trail you are to stay to the right at all times unless passing. There will be only one water station this year which will be at the finish line.
- FINISH LINE: Run all the way through the finish line and over the timing mat. Remove your chip and place it in the bucket with the volunteers.
Stick around after the run for a hot chocolate bar, breakfast, and prizes!
