Yard debris collection helps keep our community looking great, but it’s important that materials are prepared correctly so they can be safely and efficiently collected. Please review the guidelines below to ensure your yard waste is picked up without delay.
Yard waste refers to debris generated from regular yard maintenance, such as trimming, pruning, or mowing. Materials resulting from landscape renovations, large projects, or construction are not considered standard yard waste and may require a special pickup.
While the goal is to collect everything placed out for service, during peak yard maintenance seasons Republic Services may limit collection to 10 paper bags, average-sized containers, or bundles per pickup day.

Properly Preparing Yard Waste – To ensure your yard debris is collected, please follow these preparation guidelines:
- Brush, limbs, and branches must be cut into lengths of 4 feet or less
- Items are bundled (no more than 6 inches in diameter) and bound with rope or twine.
- Brush must be bundled and tied with rope or twine and not exceed 50 pounds
- Grass clippings and leaves must be placed in a trash container labeled “Yard Waste” or in paper yard waste bags marked with X. Plastic bags are NOT permitted.
- Yard waste or bundles that do not meet these requirements will not be collected.

Items That Will Not Be Collected – The following materials are not accepted with yard waste:
- Dirt
- Bags of mulch over 20 lbs
- Sod
- Rocks
- Open containers with poison ivy, oak, or sumac
- Uncontained brush with thorns
Following these guidelines helps ensure timely collection and keeps our neighborhood clean and safe for everyone. Thank you for doing your part to keep the community looking its best!
